Shift Schedule
The Patrol officers work four days on and three days off. Patrol shifts function with two scheduled 10-hour shifts. Scheduling is set so that each officer will have weekends off six months out of the year.
Training
The Alliance Police Department exceeds state expectations for training. We offer a variety of training opportunities for our officers, from white collar to specialty tactics and crisis intervention. Additional training opportunities include unlimited range access and ammunition.
Take Home Car Program
Officers that live within a 15-mile radius from the border of the City of Alliance are assigned take home vehicles subject to supervisory approval.
Court Duties
Officers who are called in on off-duty time for court and are paid a minimum two hours. They also are paid overtime for hours worked over 40.
