Finance Director, Randy Waggener has announced his intention to retire within the next 12-24 months after more than 10 years of service to the City of Alliance.  Randy began work for the City in June of 2011, and has since made a significant impact.  During his tenure, the financial strength and accounting processes have improved as evidenced by a decade of strong audit reports.
Randy stated “I joined the staff of the City to become a part of local management team and to add my finance skills…it was a way for me to give back to the City that had provided so much to my family.  It has been a wonderful experience!”
His dedication has proven to be what the City needs in a Finance Director which is why the City is posting the position in advance of his retirement.  This will ensure there is adequate continuity in the financial management and allow mentoring of his replacement. More information on this position will follow next week.
