Memorial Day Refuse Collection Schedule

Due to the holiday, steel refuse containers will not be emptied on Monday, May 29 which will result in the containers only being emptied once during the week.

Street Closure

Construction on the east and west intersections of 18th and Box Butte Avenue will begin May 15. The intersections will be closed to traffic for approximately two weeks. Construction cones will be placed on Box Butte Avenue for motorist safety.

Pit Stop Gift Shop Opening

The Carhenge Pit Stop is officially open for the summer! Pit Stop hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day!

Street and Alley Tree Trimming Project

Panhandle Tree Service will begin trimming trees for the City of Alliance along streets and alleys Thursday, April 27 weather permitting.

Trees will be trimmed for electric line, streetlight and refuse truck clearance.  The project will begin on Sweetwater Avenue from 10th Street to 18th Street and will continue moving to the west.

Box Butte Avenue Streetscape

The next phase of the Box Butte Avenue Streetscape will begin April 3.

East 10th Street Project

The East 10th Street Project will begin April 3. Construction will take place in four phases that will require road closures and detour routes for each phase. Paul Reed Construction and Supply from Gering, NE will serve as the contractor.

Sidewalk Replacement Program

A cost sharing program is available to assist residents in the repair of sidewalks located in the municipal right of way.

The City of Alliance will provide a cost share in the amount of $200.00 per cubic yard towards the cost of a replaced sidewalk at residential locations and a limit of five cubic yards of sidewalk for commercial locations.  The property owner must...Read on...
